This Post Topper makes installation your own library a breeze! Place it on top of a 4x4 from your local hardware store, and in minutes you'll have a sturdy post to support your Little Free Library for years.

• Save on on your post! If you can supply your own cedar 5' 4x4, using this library post topper will be more affordable (in both shipping and overall cost) compared to any of our other post options.
• Post topper will slide onto any 4x4, and you can attach it via the included hardware, pre-drilled holes, and a drill (drill not included)

Post Installation Instructions:

1. Once your Post Topper is attached to your 5' 4x4, dig a 2' hole so your library post stands 3' off the ground. Bury it by refilling the hole, making sure it stays level as you go. Tamp the dirt once the post is completely buried. 
2. After your post is installed, use a measuring tape to to center your library on the platform
3. Secure your library to the post by drilling six (included) 2.5" screws through the library base into the post topper. Optional: to make this step easier, you can pre-drill holes with a 7/64" drill bit through the bottom of your library first
