Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about bringing a book exchange to your neighborhood.
How do I register my Little Free Library and get a charter sign?
Most of our pre-built library kits include a charter sign and registration code. Once your library is installed, you can register the location on our world map through our website using that unique code.
Are the libraries weather-resistant?
Yes, our libraries are handcrafted from high-quality, outdoor-rated materials like cedar and recycled poly-lumber. We apply a protective sealant to wood models to ensure they withstand rain, snow, and sun.
What is the typical shipping time for a library kit?
Standard kits usually ship within 5-7 business days. Custom-painted or specialty models may take 2-4 weeks as they are built to order by our artisans.
Do I need to assemble the library myself?
We offer both 'Ready-to-Assemble' kits, which require basic tools like a screwdriver, and 'Fully Assembled' models that are ready to be mounted to a post immediately upon arrival.
What is your return policy for large items?
We accept returns on unused, non-customized libraries within 30 days of delivery. Please note that customers are responsible for return shipping costs due to the size and weight of the crates.
Can I install my library in a public park?
While we provide the hardware and the library, you must check with your local city ordinances or HOA guidelines regarding placement on public property or easements.
